MedTrack is built so that your health information never leaves your control.

MedTrack is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical advice. The counts and run-out dates it shows are estimates calculated from the information you enter. They are only as accurate as what you type, and they do not know about doses you missed, doubled, or took early unless you correct the count yourself.
MedTrack is built and maintained by one person. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, and has not been through large-scale beta testing. Features may contain bugs. You use it at your own risk.
Do not rely on MedTrack as your only safeguard against running out of a medication or missing a dose. Always confirm your supply and your schedule with your pharmacist or prescriber, and never start, stop, or change how you take a medication based on what this app shows.
Everything stays on your phone
Nothing you enter leaves your device. MedTrack does not request the INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of transmitting anything, anywhere, to anyone — including to its developer. There is no server to send data to.
What we collect: nothing. MedTrack has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting.
The only ways your data can leave the phone are ones you choose yourself, and both are described under “Backups you control” below.
Your medication data. The medications you enter (names, quantities, schedules, reminder times) are stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. Prescription label scanning is performed on your phone by an on-device text recognizer; photos are written temporarily to the app’s private cache, processed on-device, and deleted when the scan completes; recognized text is never stored after the scan.
Backups you control.
- Android Auto Backup: if you have Android backup enabled, the operating system may include MedTrack’s data in the device backup stored in your own Google account. This is controlled by your Android settings, not by MedTrack.
- Manual export: you can export your data to a JSON file with the system file picker. That file is yours; store it where you like.
Permissions. MedTrack requests: notifications (refill warnings and dose reminders), exact alarms (on-time reminders), boot-completed (re-registering reminders after a restart), and camera access via the system camera only when you choose to scan a label.
Children. MedTrack is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because it collects no information at all.
Changes. If a future version ever changes any of the above, this policy and the app listing will be updated before release.
